I’ve only tried colored sand once so far, and I found it to be fun but extremely challenging. I tend to prefer realism, and sand is hard to control, and especially hard to blend. The second image is the original photo was I used for reference. I didn’t know anything at all about how to do it, so I literally just went the craft store and found bags of different colored sand. Then I just poured them on the table! It’s a shame not being able to preserve the final creation except for photos. Maybe next time I’ll research preservation options.
